Info: The Aikiu is a Parisian pop band led by Alex Aikiu, enigmatic singer Franco-Vietnamese. The band was discovered on a first EP released in 2012, "Just Can Not Sleep" and then quickly on a second single "The Red Kiss" (a tribute to John Carpenter film "Carrie). A third EP released this summer, "Pieces of Gold", has created the event on the canvas with his quirky and sexy clip directed by Panteros 666 (over a million views). The Aikiu is also composed by Julien Vichnievsky, with whom Alex Aikiu co-wrote most of the songs (guitar, keyboards), Barnabas Nuytten (bass), Tatiana Mladenovitch (drums) and Nuno Cordeiro (guitar). The songs are melodic nuggets incisors, the lyrical & pictorial atmospheres. The group is inspired by movies of the 70s and 80s, pictures of Joseph Sterling, collages Carmen Calvo, clubbing, adolescence, and declines a musical and visual at the same time, sophisticated and yet immediate, and universal , definitely pop.Their new EP "Fools", released in February 2013, announced their first album "Ghost Young" which will be released in the summer of 2013.
