| Info: Hurts are an English synthpop duo formed in 2009, consisting of singer Theo Hutchcraft and synthesist Adam Anderson. Their first release was a double A-side single "After Midnight"/"Dollhouse", under the name of Bureau, back in 2006. In 2007, Bureau disbanded the duo formed the band Daggers and another double A-side single was released, called "Money"/"Magazine". In January 2009 they announced on Myspace that they had split up. Soon after the project “Hurts” was born. Their debut album, Happiness, released in September 2010, reached the top ten in twelve European countries, and has sold over two million copies worldwide. Their second studio album, Exile, was available in March 2013, achieving a top ten position in ten countries worldwide, debuting at number three in Germany and number nine in the UK. In June 2015, the new album title was announced via their Facebook page. Surrender was released in October 2015. | |
